Nymphs and pupas!

This is what the fish eat mostly. OK we see them when they take hatchers or floating flies, but most of the time we don't see the fish eating, becase it all happens under the surface.
The more you use nymphs, pupas andt other under-water bugs the more fish you will get in touch with. It's not sure you'll get them home to your table, but you most sertainly will feel them. You will feel a little twich occasionally when they have taken your fly, and notice it's no good, and spits it out again. To catch fish on nymphs and pupas you must be in contact with the fly - either by a stretched line, by retrieving th fly or have your sharp eyes on the leader. A sudden movement that looks wrong - strike! You'll miss a lot of fish anyway, but you will sertainly be on your toes when fishing. Great fun!
